Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This is a personal engineering blog run by Do Hung Anh. I try to collect as little data as possible. This page explains what is collected, why, and the third-party services involved.
What I collect
- Anonymous analytics. I use privacy-friendly analytics (Umami) and Vercel Analytics to understand which articles are read. These are aggregated and do not use invasive tracking cookies or build advertising profiles.
- Article view counts. A per-article counter is stored in a key-value store. It records totals only — not who viewed what.
- Comments. Comments are powered by giscus and stored in GitHub Discussions. If you comment, you do so with your GitHub account under GitHub's privacy policy.
- Newsletter (optional). If you subscribe, your email address is stored by the newsletter provider solely to send new-post updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
What I do not do
- I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
- I do not run third-party advertising or ad-tracking networks.
- I do not attempt to personally identify visitors from analytics data.
Cookies & local storage
The site stores a small amount of data in your browser for functional purposes only — for example your theme (light/dark) and language preference, and a cached view count for smoother loading. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings.
Third-party services
Pages and assets are served via Vercel. Embedded widgets (comments, analytics, newsletter) load from their respective providers and are subject to their own privacy policies.
Your choices
You can browse without commenting or subscribing. You can block cookies/analytics with your browser or an extension. To request removal of a comment or newsletter subscription, email me.
Changes
This policy may be updated occasionally; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
